i started off Biotin 5000 a day and my started to grow faster than ever, like i was wearing individual braids because i wanted to see how much it was going to grow, and like on my 3rd week of taking it, i saw a lot of growth. i just use castor oil and i wrapped my braids up every night and now that i relaxed my hair, my hair is still good. like before i would straighten my hair every single day, and made my hair break off and shorten it but its better than before and its not bad as it used to, its better. you just need to take care of your hair and you should be fine ;)

Okay i have question if you don't mind me asking. I am 17 and i have been wearing my hair in a wrap for a very long time. I am the type of person that hates to grease my hair so i dont do it. To be honest i don't grease my hair until right before i get a perm. i hate the feeling of it to be weighed down, straight and oily. i have pretty thick hair that grows reasonably fast but its not to the length that i want it to be. what can use to still keep my hair thick and get it even more thicker and longer with out having to grease my hair so often and make my hair oily?

The best way to go natural is to have your hair stylist put in a weave to give your hair a break and go natural. I had a weave (with good hair) for about a year (getting it redone every 2-3 months.) Have your stylist wash your hair every (2) weeks. After you get the weave out use the Nioxin hair treatment bi-weekly. This brought my hair back tremendously.

April, I can def feel your pain as I am in the same situation. My hair used to be thick and manageable until recently when due to stress and being overprocessed it has broken off badly. I don't know what to do as I cannot do anything to it and constantly wear half wigs so that I wont damage it any further. I put a relaxer in about two weeks ago and it looks a hot mess! I usually weared it in a wrap and would only have to comb it down the next day without any heat, etc just a spray of oil sheen and go. Now I cannot do anything to it but pull it back in a ponytail where it is broken off all over. I actually wanted to cry. I don't want to do the big chop or go natural but I probably will not have a choice, unless there is another way I can save my poor hair. I need help!

To above poster ^^. I was told that going natural is the best option if your hair is severely damaged. No offense, but it sounds like yours is if it has broken off that much. My hair sounds like yours. I used to have really thick hair and hair past my shoulders. It broke off alot due to relaxers and home colorings, and trimming it a few inches didn't help it grow. When you relax already damaged hair, it won't grow. It will just keep breaking off. My hair was so damaged that I went natural. I've been natural for a year, and trust me, your hair does grow much faster in its natural state. I used sew-ins while I transitioned since I didn't wanna big chop it off from the start. If you youtube videos on natural transitions, you'll see how much hair grows in a year or two. I'm sure it'll be back past your shoulders in 2 years. It's gonna take patience to get it back to where it used to be. I'm learning to adjust with the natural lifestyle while my hair grows out.
