The Big Chop

I was natural from about 1999-2006. I had a baby in 11/05 and figured I no longer had time to spend 5 hours twisting my hair so I decided to get it relaxed. Well after going faithfully every 2 weeks getting my hair done I decided to have a “chunky” red dye job (not all of my hair was red). It looked REALLY good, it was healthy, shiny, shoulder length, BUT then it was time for a touch up. The portion of my hair that had been dyed broke off down to the new growth. Can you imagine what that looked like? I had to start wearing weaves/braids because I feel too self
conscious to do “the big chop”. It has been over 2 years and my hair has not yet rebounded.
