CurlBOX is the brainchild of Myleik Teele. After years in public relations, she wanted a new challenge. She saw a void in the natural hair industry and sought to fill it. She describes her subscription box as an experience where VIP subscribers receive 5-7 premium hair samples for naturally curly hair. Subscribers also benefit from a CurlBOX mag and a vibrant community online via Instagram, Facbeook, Twitter, and the CurlBOX blog. In her recent anniversary video she said,”To know that I created something that makes young black girls feels awesome… get to their happy place before I did is huge for me.”
Curlkit was started by Heather Cummings in March 2012.
